A fire Saturday night in West Paris destroyed a home and displaced 21 people.
The fire at 5 Ellingwood Drive began around 11:55 p.m., when the exterior piping of a pellet stove came into contact with the vinyl siding of the single-family home, West Paris Fire Chief Norm St. Pierre told WCSH-TV.
There were 21 people living in the home, including 10 children.
There were no injuries in the fire, but the family did lose one pet, according to officials.
The Red Cross is assisting the family with food, clothing and emergency shelter. A friend of the family is collecting donations at the Big Apple store on Railroad Street in Bethel.
