Diane Denk, Democratic candidate for state representative for Kennebunkport and parts of Kennebunk and Biddeford, has always made helping needy families her No. 1 priority.
She served as the chair of a homeless shelter for women and children in an impoverished neighborhood in Chicago.
Her efforts enabled the shelter to purchase and repair an abandoned convent where each family could have its own room. Children could attend school while their mothers took classes and found employment.
Diane has continued this important work by supporting Caring Unlimited, York County Shelter Programs and other groups whose mission is helping needy families. She has been instrumental in hosting drives and organizing fundraisers on their behalf.
At a time when there are many families in crisis, we believe Diane would be a strong voice for them in Augusta. Please vote for Diane Denk on Nov. 4.
