KENNEBUNK — Brittney Gregoire and Tiffany Weeks scored Wednesday to help Kennebunk to a 2-0 victory against Freeport in a Western Maine Conference field hockey game.

The Rams improved to 6-5 and dropped Freeport to 7-4.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4, LAKE REGION 0: Nicki Thurston scored two goals as the Raiders (6-4) downed Lake Region (4-7) at Fryeburg.

Sydney Andreoli opened the scoring from Janelle Weissman with 14 minutes left in the half. Thurston knocked in the next two goals and Mackenzie Hill made it 4-0 off a rebound with 17 minutes left in the game.

Jasmine Ramsay earned a shutout with eight saves. Meghan VanLoan had 10 saves for Lake Region.

PORTLAND 5, MCAULEY 0: Lauren McIntyre had two goals and two assists as the Bulldogs (6-3) handled the visiting Lions (0-10) at Portland.

Taylor Sargent, Natalia Budri and Gabby Wagabaza also scored. Sam Witkowski had eight saves for McAuley.

SCARBOROUGH 8, BIDDEFORD 0: Ashley Levesque and Kristen Murray scored two goals apiece to lead the Red Storm (10-0) over Biddeford (6-4) at Scarborough.

Alyssa Souza had three saves for her ninth shutout of the season.

Abby Walker, Lilly Nygren, Maddie Dobecki and Emma Croveau also scored.

DIRIGO 2, BOOTHBAY REGION 2: Samantha Carter of the Seahawks (5-5-1) sent the game into overtime when she scored on a penalty corner with 48 seconds left against Dirigo (3-7-1) at Boothbay Harbor.

Syndey Meader put the Seahawks ahead in the first half. The Cougars took the lead in the second on goals by Kelsy Hutchins and Lauren Henderson.

Morgan Morrow made 30 saves on 32 shots for Dirigo. Erica Eames had 14 saves on 17 shots for Boothbay.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Marina Poole scored twice to lead the Panthers (8-2) over the Seagulls (0-10) at Old Orchard Beach.

POLAND 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Amanda Dube scored three goals as the Knights (2-5-2) cruised by the Patriots (4-5) at Gray.

Mary Everett, Lilia Conway and Emily Gibson also scored.

YARMOUTH 1, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Abby McDowell scored unassisted on a breakaway scramble with 5:33 remaining in the second overtime as the Clippers (10-0) edged the Hawks (5-6) at Yarmouth.

Tory Massina had eight saves for Yarmouth. Chloe Ronco made 18 for Sacopee.

YORK 3, GREELY 0: Devon Datsis scored twice as the Wildcats (10-0) shut out the Rangers (3-7) at Cumberland.

Both of Datsis’ goals were in the first half, one from Kara Kelly and the other unassisted. Alie Jones scored in the second half from Kayla Kelly and Callie Alexander.

BOYS’ SOCCER

A.R. GOULD 6, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 2: Keegan Gaouette and Mohammed Roone scored two goals each for A.R. Gould (1-6) against Highview Christian (0-7) at South Portland.

Gage Barton and Dariyin Wolfe also scored for A.R. Gould and combined for six saves.

T.J. Sheldon had 19 saves for Highview, which pulled within 3-2 in the second half on goals by Seuk Hwee and Josiah Jurczak.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

WINDHAM 8, BONNY EAGLE 0: Jenna Soucy and Melissa Morton had two goals and an assist each to lead Windham (8-0) over Bonny Eagle (1-6-1) at Standish.

Cassie Symonds, Ciera Berthiaume, Shannon Valente and Caitlyn Wing also scored. Holly Spencer had four assists.

NOBLE 2, MCAULEY 1: Bri Armenta scored twice for the Knights (1-7), who came from behind to beat the Lions (2-4-1) at Portland.

Allison Tardiff scored for McAuley early in the second half. Shaylee Ashburn made eight saves for Noble; Chelsea Rairdon had nine for McAuley.

WESTBROOK 1, DEERING 0: Emily Thornton scored after 16:42 on a counterattack, hitting her shot from about 20 yards as the Blue Blazes (2-6) edged the Rams (6-2) at Westbrook.

Bri Barlow had eight saves for Westbrook. Cassidy Coyne stopped four shots for Deering.

GORHAM 4, SANFORD 1: Kiana Plumer and Lizzie Sullivan scored two goals each as the Rams (5-3) downed the Spartans (3-5) at Sanford.

Lauren Fink answered for the Rams.

Emma Smith made 10 saves for Gorham. Kyla Bragg had five saves in the first half and Niki Perez handled 18 of 21 shots in the second for Sanford.

HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 3, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 2: Michela Hill scored 3:01 into overtime as the Knights (2-7) edged the Lions (0-9) at Portland.

Hill, who finished with three goals, started the scoring in the first half; Lydia Chick answered for Greater Portland. After Hill scored to retake the lead for Highview early in the second half, Kyrie Austin tied it from Clarissa Jones at 19:31 of regulation.

TRAIP ACADEMY 5, WELLS 1: Ellie Batchelder scored twice as the Rangers (4-3-1) eased past the Warriors (0-9) at Kittery.

Elora McCuddy, Haley Periera and Emma Auclair added goals, and Lynn Moore had two saves for Traip.

VOLLEYBALL

GREELY 3, CONY 0: Hannah Butland had six aces, eight kills and 16 assists for Greely at Cumberland.

Kayley Cimino added seven service aces, four kills and six assists.

YARMOUTH 3, KENNEBUNK 0: Heather Clark had 12 kills as the Clippers (7-1) swept the Rams (2-6) at Yarmouth, 25-23, 25-20, 25-13.

Liz Clark has 17 assists for Yarmouth. Sarah Bradley had eight kills, and Gaby White added six blocks for Kennebunk.

WINDHAM 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 2: Jamie Jannarone had 12 digs, nine kills and nine aces as the Eagles (5-4) edged the Trojans (4-5) at Windham, 26-24, 17-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-11.

Melanie Aldrich added 15 assists and five aces.
