SCARBOROUGH — Junior quarterback Jack Hughes threw for five touchdowns Friday night and Scarborough rolled to its third straight win after an 0-4 start, beating Massasbesic 56-21.

Hughes completed 9 of 14 passes for 246 yards and no interception. Three of his scoring passes went to Jake Gardner.

Zack Carriero also caught a touchdown pass and had a 53-yard rushing TD. He ran for 151 yards on 11 carries and caught two passes for 80 yards.

Linebacker Matt Cook stood out on defense for the Red Storm (3-4) with 18 tackles, while strong safety Anthony Simoneau finished with 16 tackles.

Mike Risti had a 58-yard touchdown run and Trevor Walton rushed for two touchdowns for Massabesic (1-6).

WESTBROOK 42, KENNEBUNK 20: Maurice Johnson rushed 23 times for 265 yards and five touchdowns as the Blue Blazes (2-5) beat the Rams (2-5) at Westbrook.

Bailey Ryan had six catches for 143 yards, including an 82-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter as Westbrook opened a 26-6 halftime lead.

Sean Brennan led Kennebunk’s ground game with seven carries for 73 yards.

WINDHAM 26, OXFORD HILLS 7: Kyle Houser scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (6-1) pulled away from the Vikings (3-4) at South Paris.

Windham grabbed a 13-7 lead in the first half on a 4-yard touchdown run by Griff Jacobs and two field goals by Josh Dugas, who connected from 30 and 27 yards.

Davis Turner scampered 21 yards in the first quarter for the Vikings’ lone touchdown.

Houser returned an interception 32 yards to make it 19-7, then added a 7-yard run.

DEERING 32, EDWARD LITTLE 12: Max Chabot threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Rams (4-3) built an 18-0 lead on the way to a win over the Red Eddies (1-6) at Auburn.

Jacob Coon, Patrick Viola and Dominick Bernard each had a touchdown reception as Deering moved the ball through the air in all four quarters.

Ben Williams had a 42-yard interception return for a score late in the third quarter for the Rams.

Hunter Martin scored early in the third quarter on a 75-yard run for Edward Little.

FALMOUTH 41, MT. ARARAT 7: Noah Nelson rushed a touchdown and threw a pair of scoring passes to lead the Yachtsmen (6-1) past the Eagles (1-6) at Falmouth.

Falmouth raced to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter on a 23-yard run by Nick Wissemann, a 49-yard run by Connor Aube and a 2-yard run by Nelson. In the second quarter, Nelson connected with Aube for a 51-yard touchdown, then three a 2-yard TD pass to Austen Wheeler.

Nelson was 8 of 10 passing for 199 yards. Aube gained 87 yards on just seven carries and caught three passes for 86 yards.

Falmouth’s final touchdown was a 14-yard pass from Jack Bryant to Brock Welch in the fourth quarter.

MARSHWOOD 60, MORSE 7: Brett Gerry had 17 carries for 238 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Hawks (7-0) to a win over the Shipbuilders (3-4) at Bath.

Morse scored on the opening drive with a pass off a double reverse, but two 15-yard touchdown runs by Gerry gave Marshwood a 14-7 lead after one quarter.

The Hawks made it 41-7 before halftime. Ryan O’Neil returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown, then caught a 40-yard TD pass from Luc Blanchette.
