FREEPORT — Elijah Fox hit Jacob Perry for a 6-yard touchdown in the second overtime as Freeport edged Mountain Valley 24-18 in a Western Class C football game Saturday.

In the first overtime, Freeport (2-5) scored on a 15-yard run by Fox, then missed the 2-point conversion. Mountain Valley (2-5) answered with an 8-yard touchdown run by Jordan Parent but also missed the PAT.

Freeport’s Grady LaFrance opened the scoring with a 22-yard run in the first quarter. Mountain Valley quarterback Ian Austin tied it with an 11-yard run, then put his team ahead with a 28-yard pass to Nick Newman in the second quarter.

Freeport forced overtime when Jacob Farmer scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Pete LaMagna finished with 16 carries for 110 yards for Freeport. LaFrance had 11 solo tackles.

OAK HILL 35, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Alex Mace raced 77 yards for a touchdown on the second play from scrimmage, and the Raiders (6-1) rolled to a victory over the Rangers (0-6) at Wales.

The win sets up a showdown Saturday against Lisbon (6-0) that will likely decide the top seed in the Western Class D playoffs.

Mace also returned an interception 98 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter and added a 10-yard touchdown run in the second quarter as Oak Hill built a 28-0 halftime lead.

Mace finished with 141 yards on six carries, and Kyle Flaherty had 12 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

MARANACOOK 32, TELSTAR 0: Isaiah Weston connected with Levi Emery for a pair of touchdown passes, and the Black Bears (3-3) racked up 518 yards of offense in a win over the Rebels (1-6) at Bethel.
