I’m voting for Democrat Shenna Bellows for U.S. Senate because, as executive director of the ACLU of Maine for eight years, she did the thinking for herself – about how to protect Mainers from government intrusion and overreaching.

I’m voting for Shenna Bellows because Maine is weary of party politics as the first agenda of Washington politicians who shut down the government to be good go-along-to-get-along party players, while people on disability and Social Security go without, and the same “my party, do or die” mindset undermines.

I’m voting for Shenna Bellows because new mindsets in Washington need new minds with new approaches, not go-along-to-get-along politics. Not when the truth is at stake.

The next generation listens on TV and reads on the Internet, as the old guard (or their hired news media directors) do their undermining old politics again and again. Vote for decency in Washington. Vote for Shenna Bellows.
