A Gardiner boy reported missing since the weekend has been found alive and well.

Michael J. Booth, a 14-year-old freshman at Gardiner Area High School, was found Tuesday morning at a home in Gardiner, said Gardiner Police Chief James Toman.

Police met with Booth and his family Tuesday morning.

Toman and Officer Eric Testerman found Booth while following up on a tip.

“I’d like to thank the public for their assistance in this,” Toman said.

Gardiner police on Monday sought the public’s help in finding the boy, whose parents had seen him last on Saturday night.

Gardiner police met with all of the high school’s freshman class on Monday morning, but none of Booth’s classmates admitted knowing his whereabouts.
