After busy trial run, Bao Bao opens to public this week

Bao Bao Dumpling House, 133 Spring St., held a soft opening last Thursday and plans to open to the public this week. The new venture from Cara and Cecile Stadler lured customers of their Brunswick restaurant, Tao Yuan, to stand in the rain for more than an hour waiting for a table.

The restaurant will be open 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.

Rosemont Market plans new location in West End

Rosemont Market and Bakery has announced plans to open a new grocery store next spring. The store, slated for the corner of Pine and Brackett streets in the West End, will be the fifth Rosemont market. Like the existing stores – in Rosemont, the Old Port, Munjoy Hill and Yarmouth – the newest market will sell Rosemont’s handmade breads and pastries, prepared foods and house-butchered meats, as well as fruits and vegetables, local dairy and eggs, groceries and grains. It will also offer a full-service deli.
