FRYEBURG — Ben Darling scored off a rebound in the first half and eighth-seeded Fryeburg Academy pulled away to a 3-0 victory over ninth-seeded Leavitt in a Western Class B boys’ soccer preliminary game on Friday afternoon.

Teodor Antelj and Max Kummer added second-half goals for the Raiders, who improve to 6-6-3 and advance to face top-seeded Yarmouth in the quarterfinals.

The Hornets finish at 7-8.

SACOPEE VALLEY 1, NYA 0: Will Goforth scored with 19:35 remaining to lift the ninth-seeded Hawks (5-7-3) over the eighth-seeded Panthers (7-6-2) in a Western Class C prelim at Yarmouth.

CARRABEC 1, MT. ABRAM 0: William Crawford scored with 9:30 left in overtime to give 10th-seeded Carrabec (8-7) a Western Class prelim victory over No. 7 Mt. Abram (10-5) at Salem.

Colby Fortin made six saves for the Cobras, who will face No. 2 Mountain Valley in a quarterfinal Tuesday.

Tristen Dyer stopped eight shots for Roadrunners.
