LAKEVILLE, Mass. —– Police say a Weymouth man who robbed a Lakeville bank called a taxi to take him from the scene after several attempts to steal a car failed.

Michael Shuman was held on $100,000 bail after pleading not guilty Thursday to charges including unarmed robbery, larceny over $250, and three counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. Police told The Patriot Ledger the 34-year-old Shuman robbed the Bridgewater Savings Bank on Wednesday, and fled on foot. He allegedly tried to steal several cars at a nearby MBTA commuter rail station lot, before calling a cab.
