Endicott College, Beverly, Mass.: Angalee Reali of Portland was initiated into Phi Sigma, honor society for students in the field of biological sciences; Andrea Mountford of York and Kaitlyn Maskalenko of Biddeford, have been initiated into Lambda Pi Eta, the nationally recognized honor society for undergraduate students studying communications.

Maine Community Foundation, Maine Policy Scholars: One student from each campus of the University of Maine system has been selected for a year-long program of applied research in the area of Maine public policy. The students and their campus are: Andrew Radford, Augusta; Charles Young, Farmington; Victoria Boone, Machias; Kasandra Foster, Presque Isle; Kari Beaulieu, Portland/Gorham; Alexandra Courtney, Orono; and Travis Powers, Fort Kent.

University of Southern Maine, Portland and Gorham: A total of $26,000 in scholarships from the Patriot Education Scholarship Fund of the Maine Community Foundation has been awarded to Dana Hayward of North Yarmouth, Benjamin Martin of Falmouth, and Matthew Swan of Portland.
