MONROE — A Monroe man has been arrested on charges that he stole thousands of dollars’ worth of items from his former employer – the Viking Lumber Company in Lincolnville.

Stephen McCausland, a spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said Maine State Police troopers, state game wardens and members of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency searched 32-year-old Ryan Weaver’s home at 98 Back Brooks Road on Thursday.

Police recovered a variety of items that had been stolen from Viking Lumber, including building materials, power tools, routers, drills and a lawnmower. Several chain saws that had been stolen from Viking Lumber were previously recovered from pawn shops across the state.

Weaver was charged with receiving stolen property and possessing hypodermic apparatus, both felonies. His live-in girlfriend, 31-year-old Maranda McCafferty, was charged with violating conditions of release and possession of Schedule W drugs.
