Tuesday evening’s commute around Portland’s peninsula is being slowed by crashes in both the southbound and northbound lanes of Interstate 295.
The first crash happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes between exits 6 and 7. It has backed up traffic into Falmouth and onto Franklin Street.
Another crash was reported just before 5 p.m. in the northbound lanes, slowing traffic there.
Neither of the crashes caused any serious injuries.
