AUGUSTA — Maine Gov. Paul LePage says that more than 2,100 pounds of food was donated in the annual food drive at the Blaine House.

The Republican governor said in his weekly radio address that he and First Lady Ann LePage were humbled by the hundreds of Maine residents who donated non-perishable foods.

The donations are being given to the Good Shepherd Food Bank. The food bank decides which communities are the most in need when distributing the food.

With the holidays approaching, LePage says Maine residents should reflect on what they are thankful for and how they can give back to their communities.
