During the debate over photos on EBT debit cards, DHHS Commissioner Mary Mayhew commented: “Mainers … are crying out for integrity in our welfare system.”

Given her department’s poor management history, repeated missteps and the on-going attempts to bully some of our most vulnerable citizens, I’d suggest that her resignation would make a good start.
