CONCORD, N.H. — Two companies are teaming up to keep the legacy of the Old Man of the Mountain alive for New Hampshire’s youth.

The Rock on Foundation is joining a T-shirt company, The Mountain, for a contest. Youth throughout the state will be able to submit their original designs of the Old Man of the Mountain. Winners will be selected for three age groups: 2nd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade.

Each winner will receive free T-shirts for a class of his/her choice and $500 toward an item (or items) to buy an instrument, a contribution toward a college fund, payment for sports or art lessons, and other pursuits. Each winner’s design will be added to The Mountain’s catalog.

“We’re thrilled to be in a position to help keep the Old Man of the Mountain’s legacy and showcase the creativity of our state’s youth,” said Luke Bonner, Rock On Foundation founder and executive director. “We’re thrilled to be in a position to help keep the Old Man of the Mountain’s legacy and showcase the creativity of our state’s youth.”
