A Windham man was arrested Saturday on multiple charges after he allegedly fired a handgun Friday night in a Subway restaurant parking lot in Westbrook, according to a posting on the Westbrook Police Department’s Facebook page.

Westbrook police said they responded to a complaint of an assault around 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Subway on Bridgton Road. The suspect, later identified as Robert B. McGeehan, fired a gun during the altercation, then left the scene, they said.

McGeehan was arrested without incident about 8 a.m. Saturday by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Emergency Services Unit after Westbrook police obtained a search warrant for his home on Roosevelt Trail in Windham, police said.

McGeehan faces charges including aggravated reckless conduct, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, and assault, according to police.
