Portland police charged a local man with aggravated assault, terrorizing and obstructing a report of a crime after his arrest at Bubba’s Sulky Lounge shortly after midnight on Sunday.
A woman arrived at Maine Medical Center’s emergency room with significant injuries that she said were the result of an attack by Devin Kirby, 36, of 28 High St. Police tracked him down at the Portland Street night spot.
He was charged with aggravated assault for causing serious injury as well as strangulation, police said. He was being held in Cumberland County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
