HARTFORD, Conn. — Mat Bodie, Joey Crabb and Shawn O’Donnell scored, and goalie Mackenzie Skapski stopped 26 shots as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Portland Pirates 3-1 on Saturday night at the XL Center.

Hartford (17-10-2-2) has collected a total of 14 points on six wins and two shootout losses in its last 10 games, while the Pirates (15-15-1-0) are 3-6-1 in their last 10.

Crabb scored his fourth of the season from Michael Kostka and Oscar Lindberg 9:14 into the game.

Bodie notched his third goal following assists from O’Donnell and Danny Kristo at 5:30 of the second, while O’Donnell got his first goal with assists to Ryan Bourque and Chris Mueller a few minutes later.

Jordan Martinook scored 36 seconds into the third period for Portland with Justin Hodgman and Henrik Samuelsson earning assists.

Martinook now has six goals and 11 assists for 17 points, which ties him with Brendan Shinnimin for second on the team for points, three behind Alexandre Bolduc.

Mike McKenna stopped 24 shots for the Pirates, who play at Manchester on Sunday before hosting the Wolf Pack on New Year’s Eve.
