Bradley Beaulieu, Marshwood wrestling: In a span of five days, Beaulieu, a sophomore won Maine’s two toughest invitational tournaments. At the Noble Invitational, Beaulieu won the 120-pound division and was named outstanding wrestler after beating a former Vermont state champion, Ben Bliss, and Austin Shorey of Noble. Then at the Sanford Invitational, Beaulieu beat New England runner-up Paulo Freitas of Danbury, Connecticut, in the final.

Honorable mention

Ben Malloy, Bonny Eagle basketball: In a win over Biddeford, Malloy scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. In the previous game, a loss to Gorham, Malloy scored 17 points and hit four 3-pointers. He is the fourth-leading scorer in the SMAA at 19.6 points per game and is tied for the SMAA lead with 23 3-pointers.

Forrest McCurdy, Merriconeag skiing: He skied the fastest 2.5-kilometer leg (5 minutes, 52 seconds) to help his school win the Telstar Relays in Bethel, where 20 schools competed.

Corey Hart, Thornton Academy basketball: Hart scored 24 points to lead the Golden Trojans to their second win of the season in six games – an 80-74 victory over Scarborough.

GIRLS

Alisha Aube, Westbrook basketball: The sophomore led the Blue Blazes to three wins while averaging 23.7 points. She had 12 rebounds overall and two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter in a 57-40 victory against Portland, six 3-pointers in a 56-49 win against Windham, and four 3-pointers and six assists in a 46-24 triumph against Massabesic.

Honorable mention

Hannah Williams, Yarmouth/Freeport/GNG hockey: Williams, who attends Freeport High, made 42 saves over three games while allowing only two goals. She recorded a shutout in a 3-0 win over Falmouth.

Fiona Ahearne, Merriconeag skiing: She skied the fastest 2.5-kilometer leg with a time of seven minutes, 23 seconds to lead Merriconeag to victory in the 20-school Telstar Relays in Bethel.

Amanda Brett, Deering basketball: Brett scored 21 second-half points (finishing with 23 overall) to fuel a big comeback in an overtime win against South Portland. She also had 15 points and seven rebounds in a win at Marshwood and 14 points and 13 rebounds in a victory over Windham.
