AUGUSTA — Maine Gov. Paul LePage picked up the most votes for any candidate in a Maine gubernatorial race even though he fell short of a majority in the three-way race.

Maine Republicans are touting the fact on a bumper sticker that’s being offered.

The bumper sticker shows the number of votes for LePage – 294,533 – over a red image of the state.

GOP Chairman Rick Bennett says the bumper stickers are aimed at touting LePage’s achievement while raising money for the party. LePage finished with 48 percent of the vote, ahead of Democrat Mike Michaud and independent Eliot Cutler.
