The York County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested a Limerick man Friday for allegedly taking payment for firewood but never delivering the wood.

Justin Nichols, 30, was arrested on a charge of theft by deception and was being held on $500 cash bail, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Nichols was arrested twice before for allegedly running the same scam, and those cases are pending disposition in court, the sheriff’s office said.

According to the sheriff’s office, Nichols would advertise cut-and-split firewood online, arrange to be paid but then never deliver the wood.
