SCARBOROUGH — Zordan Holman made three of his four foul shots in overtime Tuesday night to help Cheverus to a 70-67 victory against Scarborough in an SMAA boys’ basketball game.

Holman finished with 14 points for the Stags (9-6). Luca Napolitano led Cheverus with 19 points followed by Austin Boudreau with 16. Jack Casale chipped in with 11.

Milani Hicks scored 36 points for Scarborough (7-9).

Sam Freeman of Scarborough sent the game into overtime with a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 45, TEMPLE 40: The Lions (4-9), behind Matt Hammond’s seven points and a defense keyed by Ethan Spaulding and Jeremiah Hammond, outscored Temple (6-10) 12-3 in the third quarter to take a 32-29 lead at South Portland.

David Davol finished with 13 points, Matthew Hammond 11 and Jeremiah Hammond 10 for Greater Portland Christian. Bradley Smith led the Bereans with 13.

CAPE ELIZABETH 69, POLAND 50: Edward Galvin finished with 16 points to lead the Capers (12-2) over the Knights (7-8) at Poland.

Justin Guerrette added 14 points and Ethan Murphy chipped in 12 for Cape Elizabeth.

Alan Young led Poland with 24 points. John Fossett and Zach Lowe added nine each.

LAKE REGION 76, FREEPORT 46: Jackson Lesure scored 16 points in the first half and Marcus DeVoe added 15, leading the Lakers (11-4) to a 48-20 lead against Freeport (0-15) at Naples.

Lesure finished with 23 points and DeVoe 18. Jack Davenport scored 19 for the Falcons.

FALMOUTH 67, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 48: Jack Simonds scored nine first-quarter points as the Yachtsmen (12-3) took a 14-2 lead against Gray-New Gloucester (7-8) at Falmouth.

Simonds finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Colin Coyne added 16 points and Luke Velas 12 for Falmouth.

Kyle Keenan and Tyler St. Pierre scored 15 points, and Andreas Kariotis 10 for the Patriots.

GORHAM 57, SOUTH PORTLAND 42: Sam Kilborn scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half as the Rams (11-4) outscored South Portland (12-3) 35-21 to pull away from a one-point halftime lead at Gorham.

Jaren Muller scored 15 points and Jack Fiorini 13 for the Red Riots.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 60, GREELY 44: Ben Southwick and Ryan Gullikson each scored seven points as Fryeburg Academy (8-7) raced away from a 39-36 lead with a 21-8 fourth-quarter run against the Rangers (8-7) at Cumberland.

Jonathan Burk finished with 16 points for the Raiders; Southwick and Gullikson each had 12. Matt McDevitt scored 12 points and Ryan Twitchell 10 for Greely.

THORNTON ACADEMY 73, WESTBROOK 57: Senior Kevin Barrett scored a career-high 27 points as Thornton Academy (6-8) rallied to defeat Westbrook (7-8) at Saco,

Ben Lambert finished with 15 points, Cory Hart scored 11 and Rome Pura 10 for the Trojans, who scored 46 points in the second half.

The Blue Blazes got 19 points from Blake Fillmore, and 14 each from Sean Jany and Derrick Breunig.
