SACO — Drew Bartlett made a jumper from the corner at the buzzer Thursday night to give Marshwood a 46-45 victory against Thornton Academy in an SMAA schoolboy basketball game.

Bartlett finished with 22 points for the Hawks (8-8), who trailed 35-30 after three quarters.

Benjamin Lambert led Thornton (6-9) with 10 points.

WELLS 54, KENNEBUNK 39: The Warriors (2-13) connected on nine of their 13 free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter to take control against the Rams (4-11) at Kennebunk.

Nate Booth scored 16 points for Wells, Owen Berry tossed in nine and Jordan Cuff added eight.

Zach MacKinnon scored 11 points to lead Kennebunk.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 53, NORTH HAVEN 38: Ethan Spaulding and David Davol fueled a 17-2 run spanning the end of the first quarter and the start of the second as the Lions (4-9) defeated the Hawks (2-10) at North Haven.

Spaulding finished with a team-high 16 points and five steals, Davol contributed nine points and five steals, and Mason Jones tossed in nine points and grabbed 13 boards for Greater Portland Christian.

Avery Waterman scored 20 points for North Haven.

DEERING 68, BIDDEFORD 50: The Rams (11-4) used a strong team defense, forcing 25 turnovers, to defeat the Tigers (1-14) at Portland.

Benedict Williams and Raffaele Salamone each tossed in 12 points to lead Deering; Moses Oreste added 10 points, and Garang Majok finished with six points and nine boards.

Jason Vadnais led Biddeford with 13 points, Austin Dutremble added 11 and Patrick Pearl 10.

BOOTHBAY REGION 63, HALL-DALE 47: The Seahawks (15-1) took a 21-point lead to the fourth quarter and held off the Bulldogs (11-5) at Boothbay Harbor.

Hall-Dale cut the deficit to 10 in the fourth.

Evan Hepburn led Boothbay with 15 points, John Hepburn added 12 and Julian Aponte 11.

Nat Crocker scored 11 points for Hall-Dale.

FALMOUTH 76, FREEEPORT 33: Jack Simonds had 29 points, nailing 11 field goals and all seven of his free throws, to lead Falmouth (12-3) over the Falcons (0-15) at Freeport.

John Shaw, Colin Coyne and Thomas Coyne all added nine points for the Yachtsmen.

Brendan Qualls and Jack Davenport each scored 11 points for Freeport.

WAYNFLETE 76, A.R. GOULD 32: Milo Belleau scored 16 of his 20 points in the third quarter to lead the Flyers (12-1) over A.R. Gould (1-12) at Portland.

Will Nelligan added 11 points and Willy Burdick 10 for Waynflete.

Geno Cobb and Tyler Morency each scored nine points for the Bears.

TRAIP ACADEMY 57, SACOPEE VALLEY 33: Angelo Succi scored seven of his 13 points in the first quarter as the Rangers (6-8) opened with a 16-2 run and downed the Hawks (5-9) at Kittery.

Alex Foye paced Traip with 16 points and Daniel Tokarz added 10.

Sacopee was led by Blake Trueworthy, who made four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points.

SANFORD 61, NOBLE 48: Connor Yuill scored 16 points for the Spartans (5-8), who went 9 of 11 from the foul line in overtime to pull away from the Knights (2-13) at North Berwick.

Frank Veino and Harris Layn added 10 points apiece for Sanford, which outscored Noble 13-0 in overtime.

Brandon Davis led Noble with 11 points. Shane Cleveland and Nolan Smeeton added 10 apiece, and Smeeton also grabbed 12 rebounds.

RICHMOND 59, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 55: Cameron Emmons scored seven of his game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter as the Bobcats (9-4) downed the Guardians (13-2) at Richmond.

Emmons accounted for six of the 10 3-pointers for Richmond.

Cody Tribbett added eight points for the Bobcats, and Tyler Soucy chipped in with four points and 10 rebounds.

Tim Yeaton had 15 points for Seacoast Christian. Skyler Archer and Caleb LaCroix each finished with 13 points.

MORSE 79, BELFAST 68: Ethan Winglass scored 32 points and Keegan McDonough added 28 to lead the Shipbuilders (11-4) past the Lions (6-9) at Belfast.

Morse took control in the first quarter, outscoring Belfast 26-10.

The Lions were led by Zavier Roman with 17 points and Stephen Davis with 15.

WINTHROP 102, CARRABEC 34: Six players scored at least eight points as the Ramblers (14-2) routed the Cobras (1-15) at Winthrop.

Matt Sekerak led Winthrop with 15 points and Jacob Hickey chipped in with 14.

HOCKEY

PORTLAND/DEERING 4, MT. ARARAT/LISBON 2: Dominic Tocci scored his second goal of the game with 5:09 left to give Portland/Deering (5-7) a two-goal lead against Mt. Ararat/Libson (2-11) at Portland.

Portland/Deering led 2-0 at the end of the first period on goals by Curran Clere and Tocci. Mason Martell extended the lead to 3-0 with a power-play goal 41 seconds into the second.

Tyler Halls and Mark Abreau scored two minutes apart late in the second period to cut the Mt. Ararat/Lisbon deficit to 3-2.
