Two utility poles were pulled down early Wednesday morning on Route 1 in Kennebunk, cutting power to residents off York Street and slightly delaying traffic.

Mark Dufo, a foreman with Kennebunk Power and Light, said a dump truck hauling snow probably snagged a wire over the road and pulled the poles down. The driver, he said, was probably driving with the box-bed in the raised position.

No one was hurt in the accident, according to Kennebunk police. School buses were slightly delayed Wednesday morning while crews were working to replace the poles. Police are investigating the incident.
