AUGUSTA — The Maine  Republican Party has re-elected Chairman Rick Bennett and Treasurer Ben Lombard.

Bennett is from Oxford. He was first elected in 2013. He oversaw the rebuilding of the state party’s staff and operations, and led the party to wins in the November elections.

The state party says he was re-elected with unanimous approval from the 68 state committee members at their biennial election of officers Saturday.

Bennett served four terms in the Senate and two in the House. He says he’s “deeply humbled for the unanimous support” of the state committee members.

Lombard was elected to his second full two-year term. He’s a practicing certified public accountant from Yarmouth.

Dr. Demi Kouzounas won election for vice-chair. She’s from Saco.

Barbara Campbell Harvey was elected party secretary. She’s from Portland.
