Police say they arrested a Brunswick man who stabbed a teenager, assaulted a guest and terrorized several other guests during a Valentine’s Day party at his home.

Sgt. Paul Hansen said officers were called to Bay Bridge Estates, a mobile home park off Old Bath Road, early Saturday morning to investigate a disturbance at a trailer on Beverly Drive.

When the officers arrived around 2:30 a.m., they were told that an 18-year-old girl from Lisbon had been taken to a hospital after being stabbed in the hand by the home’s owner, Matthew Mansir, 23, with a butcher knife. Hansen said Mansir pushed another man to the floor when some of the guests tried to restrain him.

Mansir was charged with aggravated assault, terrorizing, reckless conduct with a weapon and assault. Mansir was taken to the Cumberland County Jail around 7 a.m. Saturday, and released a few hours later after paying his $2,500 cash bail, according to jail officials.

Hansen said the incident was instigated by some type of “minor disagreement.” Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the disturbance. The teenager’s injuries were described as minor.
