Organ concert, 2:30 p.m., to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the installation of the Bedient tracker organ, featuring nationally renowned organist Pamela Decker. Held at the Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist in Thomaston. Suggested donation is $15.

Retired Bishop Gene Robinson will be the guest speaker at the 9:30 a.m. service. Robinson is the former head of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire and is currently the senior fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. A reception and open question-and-answer forum will follow and the public is welcome to attend. Held at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 885 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth.

Thursday

Respect Life Day, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., second annual event with informational and educational exhibits sponsored by Maine Right to Life and featuring representatives of organizations from around the state. Held at the Hall of Flags, second floor, State House, Augusta. Refreshments will be available.

“Unusual Positions: Controversial Approaches to the Study of Religion and Sexuality,” 4:30 p.m., part of a lecture series that looks at the relationships between religion, sexuality and gender. Bates College, Keck Classroom (G52), Pettengill Hall, 4 Andrews Road, Lewiston.
