Police have charged three people in connection with a methamphetamine manufacturing operation in Bar Harbor.

Agents with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, working with Bar Harbor police, determined that methamphetamine was being made inside a home on Gilbert Farm Road, police said.

Police charged Joy Levesque, 40, of Bar Harbor, and Elwood Carter, 48, and Melissa Morse, 46, both of Surry, with manufacture of methamphetamine, and they are in Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth pending bail, police said.

The MDEA clandestine lab disposal team entered the house Wednesday night.

This is the third lab MDEA responded to this year. During 2014, 28 labs were found by drug agents.
