NORTH CONWAY, N.H. — Co-workers of a man killed in a skiing accident on Wildcat Mountain during a charity fundraiser are remembering him as a dedicated worker and friend.
Samuel Moore of North Conway was a ceramics engineer who put in extra hours and weekends at his company, Ceramco. Co-workers tell WMUR-TV he was a caring person.
The 34-year-old Moore, originally from Gorham, Maine, was taking part in a Make-A-Wish of New Hampshire fundraising event Monday in which 40 participants tried to ski or ride 100,000 vertical feet in a day.
Police said Moore lost control near the bottom of the Five Corners trail. He tumbled down the trail and then fell over a 60-foot drop.
Make-A-Wish says it would like to honor his memory in some way.
