Re: “Letter to the editor: Treating workers like thieves adds insult to injury” (March 4):

I have worked in retail all of my 61 years and never heard of this practice. I am glad to hear that the letter writer will not return to this store, as Kohl’s employees are paid extremely low wages.

However, although I do not support any big-box stores, there have been a few of late making headlines. Stores have stepped up to the plate – albeit, more than likely, in a decision to win a larger audience.

Please support local businesses whenever possible. It is a conscious choice. It is our choice.
