GREENSBORO, N.C. — Quinn Cook scored 15 points and No. 2 Duke routed North Carolina State 77-53 on Thursday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Backup center Marshall Plumlee added a career-high 12 points on six dunks to help the second-seeded Blue Devils (29-3) win their 12th straight.

They never trailed, scored on 22 of their first 26 possessions, led by 30 and cruised into the semifinals by avenging their first loss this season.

Duke will face the Notre Dame-Miami winner.

Ralston Turner had 16 points and Abdul-Malik Abu added 10 for the seventh-seeded Wolfpack (20-13).

(3) VIRGINIA 58, FLORIDA STATE 44: Mike Tobey and Evan Nolte each scored 11 points and the Cavaliers (29-2) held on to beat Florida State (17-16) in the ACC quarterfinals.

Malcolm Brodgon scored all 10 of his points in the second half for top-seeded and defending tournament champion Virginia.

The Cavaliers welcomed back key guard Justin Anderson from injury. Anderson had missed eight games after breaking his finger and then undergoing an appendectomy.

(19) NORTH CAROLINA 70, (14) LOUISVILLE 60: Brice Johnson scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and the fifth-seeded Tar Heels (23-10) outlasted Louisville (24-8) in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Marcus Paige added 13 points for North Carolina, which regrouped from an ugly first half and took control in the final seven minutes to take the third tough matchup between the teams this season.

(4) VILLANOVA 84, MARQUETTE 49: Big East Sixth Man of the Year Josh Hart scored 20 points off the bench, and top-seeded Villanova (30-2) beat ninth-seeded Marquette (13-19) in the conference quarterfinals at New York.

The Wildcats lost to Seton Hall in the quarters on a last-second shot last year. This one was over much earlier as Villanova made 17 of 29 3-point attempts to win its 13th straight.

(23) GEORGETOWN 60, CREIGHTON 55: D’Vauntes Smith Rivera scored 25 points, including 12 of Georgetown’s final 14, and the Hoyas (21-9) beat Creighton (14-19) in the Big East quarterfinals.

The junior guard took over in the last five minutes when the second-seeded Hoyas finally took the lead for good over the upset-minded Bluejays, who finished last in the conference.

(5) ARIZONA 73, CALIFORNIA 51: Stanley Johnson had 19 points and Brandon Ashley added 15, lifting the Wildcats (29-3) past California (18-15) in the Pac-12 quarterfinals at Las Vegas.

Top-seeded Arizona had trouble shaking the Bears in a rough first half before taking control with a run early in the second. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had 10 points, six rebounds and was the catalyst for Arizona’s defense.

(9) KANSAS 64, TCU 59: Kelly Oubre Jr. scored a career-high 25 points, Landen Lucas added 13 and the top-seeded Jayhawks (25-7) beat TCU (18-15) in the Big 12 quarterfinals at Kansas City, Missouri.

With scoring leader Perry Ellis sidelined by a knee injury, Kansas had to sweat out all 40 minutes against the ninth-seeded Horned Frogs. It wasn’t until Oubre got loose for a jam with a minute left that Kansas got some breathing room.

Trey Zeigler turned the ball over at the other end for TCU (18-15), and Kansas was able to run down the shot clock before Frank Mason III found Lucas for an alley-oop jam and a 63-57 lead with 30 seconds left.

(13) IOWA STATE 69, TEXAS 67: Monte Morris rose up and hit an 18-foot jumper at the buzzer, capping a 12-0 closing run that lifted the Cyclones (23-8) past Texas (20-13) in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

Morris finished with 24 points for second-seeded Iowa State, which trailed by 16 points before clawing back into the game. Still, Iowa State trailed 67-57 with less than four minutes to go when it unleashed a full-court press that helped it draw even.

(16) BAYLOR 80, (18) WEST VIRGINIA 70: Taurean Prince scored 18 points, Royce O’Neale added 16 and the fourth-seeded Bears (24-8) pulled away to beat fifth-seeded West Virginia (23-9) in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

Rico Gathers added 14 points and eight rebounds for Baylor.

West Virginia led 62-61 with just over seven minutes to go, but the Bears turned up the defense, forcing back-to-back turnovers and converting easy baskets at the other end.

(25) BOISE STATE 80, AIR FORCE 68: Nick Duncan hit seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points to help the top-seeded Broncos (25-7) beat Air Force (14-17) in the Mountain West Conference quarterfinals at Las Vegas.
