CAPE ELIZABETH — The deadline is fast approaching to enter the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust’s “Paint for Preservation 2015,” a juried wet-paint auction that raises money for the trust. Artists must submit two images of original plein-air painting in any media by March 27. The auction itself is July 12.

Artists accepted into the auction will paint at public and private locations around Cape Elizabeth during the day. That evening, the newly painted work will be auctioned at a reception at near Pulpit Rock. Proceeds are shared by artists and the land trust’s “Saving Cape’s Great Places” campaign to preserve local conservation lands.

Samples must be submitted as digital images on CD or via email. Details are available at capelandtrust.org.
