The Maine Baseball Hall of Fame is accepting nominations of prospective candidates for induction into the 2015 class. Nominations should include either a resume or supporting documentation. The induction ceremony will be held July 26.

The Maine Baseball Hall of Fame was founded in 1969 and honors players, coaches, umpires, organizers and benefactors from the state who have achieved prominence in or made valuable contributions to baseball in Maine.

The Maine Chapter of the National Football Foundation announced that it will be distributing grant monies to be provided under the Coach Mac/John Huard fund recently established through the Alfond Foundation. Any high school, middle school or youth program in Maine is eligible to apply. The deadline for application is April 8.
