If you remember the ’80s – or if you only wish you could – you surely recall afternoons spent steering that hungry yellow Pac-Man across an arcade game screen as he gobbled up rows and rows of dots.

Thanks to Google Maps, today you can relive the days of munching your way across game boards with colored ghosts hot on your tail as the mapping software pays homage to Pac-Man. It’s Google’s idea of an April Fool’s Day joke, one day before April arrives.

Just go to GoogleMaps, type in an address near plenty of roadways – think any street in downtown Portland – and then click the Pac-Man icon located on the bottom left of the map. Using your keyboard’s up, down, left, right arrows start munching your way to a record high score (sound effects included if you click off the mute button).
