Does anyone else think it ironic that in the same edition of the Portland Press Herald (March 30), the editorial board saw fit to address the impact of budget cuts on hunger in Maine and the strain on food pantries (“Our View: With senior meals cuts, food security hurt again”), while there was a news article about good-hearted Mainers packing meals for hungry kids in other countries (“Power in numbers: 1,000 Mainers pack 200,000 meals for hungry kids”)?
