Over the past couple of months, at least 16 five-gallon lidded buckets reportedly containing used adult diapers have been dumped along Farmington and Wilton waterways.

The Maine Warden Service is asking for help to find the source of the dumping.

As of Monday, 16 orange Home Depot buckets, filled with used adult diapers, according to the Lewiston Sun-Journal, have been found in the two towns. The Warden Service couldn’t be reached to confirm the contents.

The five-gallon buckets have been found in Wilson Stream in Wilton and Temple Stream in Farmington over the last couple of months, according to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Facebook page.

Game wardens are asking that anyone with information call 1-800-452-4664.
