Coffee beans don’t grow in Maine, of course (although with global warming, ya never know). But Coffee by Design shares many of the principles we at Source hold dear to our hearts. The company cherishes community. It respects the farmers who grow its beans. And it doesn’t believe that bigger is necessarily better. To help us celebrate our first Source Sustainability Awards, the company donated coffee, as well as 4-ounce take-home bags of customized Source blend coffee to our awards evening on Thursday. Here’s hoping for whiffs of fresh hay, fiddlehead ferns, Maine strawberries and, perhaps, an undertone of buttered lobster with our morning cuppa.
