South Portland firefighters battled a blaze Sunday night in the Thornton Heights neighborhood.
The fire was reported at 70 Grandview Ave. shortly before 10 p.m., according to emergency responders. The fire department struck a second alarm as crews fought the fire.
Grandview Avenue is a neighborhood of mostly single-family homes located between Main Street (Route 1) and the railroad tracks.
Firefighters were still on the scene at 11:30 p.m.
