WESTBROOK — Jeanette Jones pitched a perfect game Friday, striking out 20 and not allowing a ball in play until the seventh inning as Sanford downed Westbrook 10-0 in an SMAA softball game.

Jones also went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI, Morgan Coleman added two hits, and Nicole Main had a double for the Spartans (2-0) against the Blue Blazes (0-1).

WINDHAM 6, MASSABESIC 4: Olivia Moran finished with four hits, two RBI and two runs to lead the Eagles (1-0) over Massabesic (0-2) at Windham.

Windham broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run fifth inning, including a two-run double by Christina Mooradian. The Eagles had gotten out of a jam in the top of the inning with a 1-2-3 double play.

Sarah Howe had three hits, including a two-run homer in the seventh inning, and Kyra-Mei Cartwright added a pair of hits for the Mustangs.

Sadie Nelson had a solo homer in the sixth for the Eagles.

DEERING 12, CHEVERUS 10: Deering (1-1) scored three runs in the seventh inning to erase a 10-9 deficit against the Stags (0-1) at Cheverus.

Gabriella Alvarez, Kaylee Helmick, Cierra Burnham and Jade Jordan were repeat hitters for the Rams, who totaled 16 hits.

Quinn Snyder hit a pair of doubles for the Stags, who played four innings with eight players because of an injury.

THORNTON ACADEMY 12, PORTLAND 2: Libby Pomerleau went 3 for 5, with a pair of RBI and two runs as the Golden Trojans (1-0) handled the Bulldogs (1-1) at Portland.

Bailey Tremblay of Thornton allowed two runs on five hits, striking out 13.

Maizie Lee was 2 for 3 with a double, and Tremblay added a single and a double for the Trojans.

Isabelle DiMillo and Maddie Kennie each had an RBI for the Bulldogs.

POLAND 5, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Kylie Martin finished with 12 strikeouts and two walks in a three-hitter for the Knights (2-0) against the Hawks (0-2) at South Hiram.

Michaella Arsenault had two hits and a run for Poland, which scored two runs in the second inning and added three in the sixth.

Sacopee Valley cut the deficit to 2-1 on an RBI single by Maddie Day in the second. Day also doubled in the fifth.

BIDDEFORD 13, NOBLE 0: Abbie Paquette struck out nine in a two-hitter and also had a pair of hits, including a home run, as the Tigers won a six-inning opener at North Berwick.

Jocelyn Moody, Kirsten Lebreux and Brook Davis added three hits apiece for the Tigers. Moody had three RBI and two runs, Lebreux collected two RBI and two runs, and Davis had three runs and an RBI.

Kasey Poligni and Kailey Coleman singled for Noble.

SCARBOROUGH 26, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Laura Powell had two hits, including a grand slam, and finished with six RBI as the Red Storm won an opener in five innings at South Portland.

Maggie Murphy and Kaleigh Scoville added three hits apiece, and Scoville had four RBI.

Laurine German had two hits for South Portland.

MT. VIEW 11, MEDOMAK VALLEY 3: Ryleigh Lord went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI as the Mustangs (1-0) cruised past the Panthers (1-1) at Waldoboro.

Krysta Porter had a pair of singles for Mt. View, and Dinah Bilodeau allowed three runs on five hits with four strikeouts.

Sophie Cohen had two singles for Medomak Valley.

GARDINER 4, LEAVITT 2: Lily Chepke lined a two-run double in a four-run sixth inning as the Tigers (1-0) edged the Hornets (1-1) at Turner.

Leavitt took the lead in the fifth on a two-run double by Ashley Kelly.

Logan Granholm had a pair of singles for Gardiner.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 23, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Nicole Bennett threw a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk, and also went 4 for 4 with a pair of home runs to lead the Raiders (1-0) past the Rangers (0-2) in five innings at Fryeburg.

Makayla Cooper added four hits and three RBI, and Kristen Chipman went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBI.

The Raiders also got four RBI from Julia Quinn.

EDWARD LITTLE 7, MT. BLUE 5: The Red Eddies (2-0) scored four runs in the first inning and held off the Cougars (1-1) at Auburn.

Taylor Depot led Edward Little with two hits, including a two-run double, and Hannah Smith and Emily Lashua each added a pair of singles.

Kasadie Barker had two singles for Mt. Blue.

LACROSSE

GREELY 13, GARDINER 7: Meghan O’Donovan scored four goals and Courtney Sullivan added three to lead the Rangers in a mutual opener at Cumberland.

Jamie Foley had eight saves for Greely.

Evelyn Hinkley scored three goals, Emma Hickey added two and Riley Grady made six saves for the Tigers.
