A 28-year-old Auburn woman was killed in a single-car crash early Saturday morning on Post Road in Wells.

Police said Amanda Lavoie was traveling south near the Moody post office when her green Honda Accord left the road and struck a tree at 12:51 a.m. Saturday.

Police said rescue workers found Lavoie in the vehicle. She was taken to York Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said it does not appear there were any other vehicles involved. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, police said.
