LEWISTON — Cyclists don’t think 100 miles is enough of a workout are going to get another option for this year’s Dempsey Challenge.
The fundraising event that benefits the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a two-day ride to the coast that totals 130 miles.
Last year’s event in Lewiston had cycling rides ranging from 10 to 100 miles.
Patrick Dempsey, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actor, launched the annual event following his 77-year-old mother’s battles with ovarian cancer. She died in March 2014.
