YORK — Sequoia Fister doubled in the winning run in the eighth inning Wednesday to give undefeated York a 4-3 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference softball game.

After Fryeburg (4-2) took a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth, Sophie Stephens tied it with a single to right in the bottom of the inning before Fister won it.

Stephanie Rundlett of York (6-0) struck out 18, allowing two walks and four hits.

BIDDEFORD 11, MARSHWOOD 2: Abby Paquette allowed two earned runs on seven hits and provided a two-run homer in the sixth inning to help the Tigers (5-1) down Marshwood (3-3) at Biddeford.

Kristen Lebreux had three RBI on two doubles and two runs, and Erin Martin went 3 for 4 with two RBI, three runs and three stolen bases for Biddeford.

CAPE ELIZABETH 16, FREEPORT 2: Megan Nicholson drove in three runs with a walk and a single, and Tess Heller hit a two-run homer for the Capers (4-3), who scored 11 runs in the first inning and downed Freeport (0-4) in five innings at Cape Elizabeth.

Nicholson finished with three hits and a walk, four RBI and two runs.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, DEERING 1: Laurine German hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Sarah Micucci added another in the third to help South Portland (3-3) overcome Deering (2-4) at Portland.

Stephanie Aceto of the Red Riots allowed one hit, struck out three and walked none.

KENNEBUNK 7, WELLS 4: Lindsey Gregoire and Brittany Gregoire laced RBI doubles during a four-run sixth inning as the Rams (2-5) took a 7-4 lead against Wells (2-4) at Kennebunk.

Lindsey Gregoire finished with three hits. Maddie Taylor had two hits and scored twice for the Warriors.

SCARBOROUGH 18, NOBLE 4: Abbie Murrell had three hits, including a pair of home runs and four RBI, and pitched four scoreless innings of no-hit relief as the Red Storm (5-0) rolled past the Knights (3-4) at North Berwick.

Sophia Burnham, who picked up her second win, had three hits, including a double, and Brittany Plowman and Kaleigh Scoville each contributed three hits in the 23-hit offense.

Morgan Perillo had a three-run single in Noble’s four-run third.

GREELY 12, YARMOUTH 2: Miranda Moore pitched a four-hitter, allowing two runs and striking out four, as the Rangers (3-3) handled the Clippers (2-1) at Yarmouth.

Audrey Mann homered to lead off the third inning and finished 2 for 4 for Greely.

Cate Ralph and Breanna Morrill each had a triple for Yarmouth. Mari Cooper added a double.

WESTBROOK 18, CHEVERUS 6: Maddison LeBeau knocked in five runs on three hits and also scored twice as the Blue Blazes (1-5) totaled 17 hits against Cheverus (0-5) at Westbrook.

Camryn LaPierre had four hits, three RBI and two runs, and Catherine Galipeau drove home three runs on three hits for Westbrook.

MADISON 39, BOOTHBAY REGION 1: Erin Whalen had six hits, and Aly LeBlanc had two doubles, two singles and a home run as the Bulldogs (6-0) beat the Seahawks (2-4) in five innings at Boothbay Harbor.

LeBlanc and Madeline Wood each drove in five runs for Madison. The Bulldogs had 32 hits, including four by Tori McLaughlin.

Destiny Howes and Marah Cagney O’Brien walked twice and scored for Boothbay.

HALL-DALE 14, LISBON 2 Eva Shepherd had two doubles and a triple to lead Hall-Dale (5-1) past the Greyhounds (3-2) in six innings at Lisbon Falls.

Emma Begin added a single and a double for Hall-Dale, and Taylor Johnson chipped in two singles. Olivia Maynard earned the win.

Kailyn Hill had a double and a single for Lisbon.

OAK HILL 15, MT. ABRAM 0: Jamie Prue and Sadie Goulet each had three hits as the Raiders (3-3) beat Mt. Abram (1-4) at Wales.

Grace Sabine, Brooke Surette, Emma Hlister and Makayla Nadeau added two hits apiece for Oak Hill.

Hlister and Goulet each drove in three runs, and Nadeau and Charlotte Waterman combined to pitch a one-hitter.

LACROSSE

WAYNFLETE 13, GOULD ACADEMY 6: Nina Moore scored four goals and Helen Gray-Bauer added three goals to lead the Flyers (4-1) over the Huskies (0-3) at Portland.

Beata Vest and Isabel Burdick finished with two goals each for Waynflete. Brook Kelly and Shannon Maguire led Gould with two goals each.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 10, GREELY 9: Mary Noyes and Izzy Munro each scored three goals as the Panthers (1-3) edged the Rangers (1-3) at Yarmouth.

Meaghan Doherty led Greely with three goals.

Scout Fishman stopped 20 shots for NYA. Greta Van Curan had five saves for the Rangers.

LAKE REGION 12, FREEPORT 10: Lauren Williams scored four goals and Lindsey Keenan added three to lead the Lakers (4-0) past Freeport (0-4) at Naples.
