GRAY — Evan Plummer hit a two-out single to right field on a hit-and-run that scored John Villaneuva from second base in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday to lift Gray-New Gloucester to a 6-5 Western Maine Conference baseball win over Traip Academy.

Traip (7-3) scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 5-2 lead, but the Patriots (5-6) responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, tying the game on a suicide squeeze by Zach Mann.

Plummer finished with three hits for the Patriots and Tyler St. Pierre and Villanueva added two hits apiece.

Traip got two hits each from Josh Schneier and Coleman Pelkey.

PORTLAND 3, WINDHAM 2: John Williams singled, stole second and third base and scored the winning run on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the ninth as the Bulldogs (8-2) escaped the Eagles (3-6) at Portland.

Tim Greenlaw hit a two-run single to give Windham the lead in the top of the sixth inning and Portland answered when Jake Knop scored in the bottom of the inning on an error.

Tanner Laberge took the loss, going the distance, allowing two hits after the first innings and striking out 18.

KENNEBUNK 5, FREEPORT 4: Ben Lary pitched a complete game and hit a two-run double in the sixth inning that brought in the winning run as the Rams (7-5) edged Freeport (4-7), at Kennebunk.

Lary struck out six, walked none and scattered nine hits.

WELLS 5, FALMOUTH 3: Charlie Bell threw a complete-game six-hitter as the Warriors (7-4) edged the Falcons (7-4) at Falmouth.

Bell had a pair of hits, including a double. Shawn Ramsey added a pair of singles.

Connor MacDowell was 3 for 3 with a pair of RBI for Falmouth, and Reece Armitage added a triple.

GREELY 11, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Will Bryant and Charlie Reade each had two-run triples in the fourth inning as the Rangers (9-2) beat the Raiders (2-9) in five innings at Fryeburg.

Calvin Soule had a two-run single in the second inning as Greely jumped to a 6-0 lead after two innings.

Jordan Merrified picked up the win, going four innings, allowing one hit and fanning seven batters.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 1, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Sawyer Pinkham scored on an infield error as the Eagles (6-5) edged the Windjammers (7-4) at Rockport.

Pinkham had the only extra-base hit in the game for Lincoln Academy.

Devon Scherer picked up the complete-game win for the Eagles, allowing a pair of singles, striking out five.

Daulton Wickenden took the loss for Camden Hills, allowing three hits; he struck out four.

YARMOUTH 10, OLD ORCHARD 0: Luke Klenda struck out 10, walked one and gave up one hit as the Clippers (7-4) posted a mercy-rule win over Old Orchard Beach (4-7) at Yarmouth.

Conor O’Donnell paced the offense with three singles and two RBI. Cody Cook also drove in a run and hit a pair of doubles.

YORK 9, POLAND 1: Sam Johnson had a two-run homer and Derek Neal hit a solo shot as the Wildcats (9-2) jumped to 3-0 first-inning lead and cruised past the Knights (3-9) at York.

Jordan Pidgeon hit a two-run single and Neal followed with a two-run double as York added five runs in the third inning.

Cole Merritt was 4 for 4 with an RBI for the Wildcats, Neal had three hits and three RBI and Matthew Pratt was 3 for 3.

Evan Gallagher had double for Poland.

SACOPEE VALLEY 4, WAYNFLETE 1: Roderick Maynard threw a seven-hitter and Kyle Jordan had two hits and scored two runs to lift the Hawks (8-1) over the Flyers (3-9) at Portland.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, Sacopee Valley tied the game with a run in the top of the third and took the lead with three more runs in the top of the fourth.

Josh Lodish, Thomas Silk and Nick Hagler had two hits apiece for Waynflete.

OCEANSIDE 10, MT. VIEW 0: Thomas Curtis hit a two-run double in the first inning and Jimmy Strong ended the game with a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth as the Mariners (9-2) downed the Mustangs (4-7) in six innings at Rockland.

Oceanside starter Ryan Allendar scattered four hits and finished with nine strikeouts and no walks in his fourth complete game of the season.

Caleb Jacob hit a pair of singles for the Mariners and Nick Mazurek and Riley Sprague each hit a double.

ERSKINE 7, MEDOMAK VALLEY 4: Caleb Cummings had two hits and drove in two runs as Erskine notched a KVAC win over Medomak.

Dylan Presby picked up the win for the Eagles (7-4). Ollie Brown had a double for the Panthers (4-7).

BRUNSWICK 2, LAWRENCE 0: Charlie Lowell gave up four hits to earn the shutout in Fairfield.

Lowell also had two hits and drove in a run for Brunswick (6-5). J.T. Nutting gave up six hits to go with two walks and four strikeouts for Lawrence (2-9).

BREWER 6, MT. BLUE 0: Evan Riva pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out eight, to lead the Witches to the victory in Farmington.

Logan Rogerson, Michael Grimble and Alex Brooks each doubled for Mt. Blue (8-3).

Anthony Franchetti had the lone hit for Mt. Blue (5-6), a single in the fifth inning.

EDWARD LITTLE 4, SKOWHEGAN 0: Dylan Blanchet smacked a double, but it wasn’t enough for the Indians, who fell to the Red Eddies in Skowhegan.

Nathan Morris had two singles for Skowhegan (3-8).

Luke Sterling had a double for Edward Little (8-3).

NOKOMIS 4, MCI 2: Noah Kershner had three hits and drove in a run for the Warriors in a win in Newport.

Randy Upton drove in two runs for Nokomis (3-8). Pedro Matos had two hits, including a triple, for MCI (3-8).
