WINDHAM — Sophie Burnham and Abbie Murrell singled in runs in the fourth inning Friday as Scarborough scored twice to break a tie and went on to an 11-4 victory against Windham in an SMAA softball game.

The Red Storm (12-0) added runs in the fifth and sixth before pulling away with a three-run seventh, including Maggie Murphy’s two-run double.

Windham (9-4) overcame a 3-0 deficit with a four-run second, when Maddie Elliott laced a three-run double.

MT. BLUE 10, BRUNSWICK 4: Rachelle Bator’s two-run single keyed a four-run first inning and the Cougars (5-8) went on to beat the Dragons (1-12) at Farmington.

Mt. Blue added five runs in the second before making it 10-0 in the third.

Addie Brinkman had a pair of hits and Brandi Harris added a double for Mt. Blue. Ashley Howe and Gianna Gaudet each had a double for Brunswick.

MASSABESIC 8, DEERING 0: Sophia LaFrance’s bases-clearing triple was the key hit in a seven-run fourth inning as the Mustangs (4-9) shut out the Rams (2-12) at Waterboro.

Sarah Guimond allowed a pair of singles, walking two and striking out 11.

POLAND 5, FREEPORT 1: Kolby Woods threw a two-hitter, striking out nine and walking one as the Knights (11-3) beat the Falcons (0-12) at Poland.

Morgan Brousseau had a triple for Poland, which scored three runs in the third inning.

Bailey Karnes of Freeport gave up six hits, walked one and struck out six.

BIDDEFORD 16, GORHAM 4: Kirsten Lebreux was 4 for 4 with four doubles as the Tigers (12-1) took an early lead and rolled by the Rams (7-7) in six innings at Biddeford.

Biddeford scored four runs in the first as Brook Davis hit a two-run single and Abbie Paquette stole home, and added six in the second.

Davis went 3 for 4 with four RBI and three runs, and Paquette and Jocelyn Moody each added a pair of hits.

Lebreux allowed three earned runs on 10 hits, striking out 10 and walking one,

Grace McGouldrick, Lindsey Wilcox and Noelle DiBiase each had a pair of hits for Gorham.

GREELY 7, FALMOUTH 1: Audrey Mann had her second double of the game in a five-run sixth inning as the Rangers (9-3) defeated the Yachtsmen (7-6) at Falmouth.

After Falmouth scored in the first, Greely answered with single runs in the second and fourth.

Mann finished with three hits, Miranda Moore had a triple and a double, and Kayley Cimino and Kelsey Currier each added a pair of singles for Greely.

Madeline Rouhana had three singles for Falmouth.

NOBLE 8, MARSHWOOD 0: Emma Burns had three hits, including an RBI single during a six-run fourth inning as the Knights (7-6) downed the Hawks (5-8) at South Berwick.

Shaughnessey Gower scattered eight hits, striking out eight and walking one for Noble.

Melodie Bailey added a two-run single in the fourth for the Knights and Kathryn Taylor had a pair of hits.

Marshwood got two hits apiece from Emily Robida, Gianna Riccardi and Elore Montgomery.

SACOPEE VALLEY 11, TRAIP ACADEMY 5: Maddie Day singled home two runs and scored on Brynn Hink’s double to give the Hawks (3-9) a 3-1 first-inning lead against Traip (4-8) at South Hiram.

Day added an RBI single as Sacopee scored three more times in the second.

McKenzie Cormier pitched a two-hitter, and Miranda Schaubhut had three hits and scored three times for Sacopee.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, LAKE REGION 4: Amanda Gillette went 3 for 5 with a double and two RBI to lead the Raiders (8-6) over the Lakers (6-8) in six innings at Naples.

Fryeburg broke the game open with a nine-run second inning that included a two-run single from Kristen Chipman.

Abby Scott Mitchell hit a two-run double for Lake Region.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 1, ERSKINE ACADEMY 0: Abby Farrin struck out 10 with no walks in a two-hitter as Lincoln (12-0) beat Erskine (7-5) at Newcastle.

Lincoln scored in the fifth inning when Morgan Achorn singled and later came in on a double by Miranda Achorn.

Malorie Chamberlain had two strikeouts and no walks, giving up four hits for Erskine.

WESTBROOK 12, BONNY EAGLE 3: Camryn Lapierre launched a two-run homer in the first inning and Kerigan Demers laced an RBI triple to give the Blue Blazes (4-9) a 3-0 lead against Bonny Eagle (3-10) at Westbrook.

Lapierre finished with four hits and four runs. Demers also had four hits, with four RBI and a run. Emily Talbot scored three times for the Blazes.

SANFORD 5, MCAULEY 4: Nicole Main tripled and scored on a single by Jordan Wilson in the eighth inning to lift the Spartans (11-2) over the Lions (5-9) at Sanford.

Main finished with three hits, including two triples, two runs and one RBI for the Spartans. Isabelle Johnston added two doubles and two RBI.

Anya Chase and Allison Tillotson each had one RBI and one run for McAuley, which scored four times in the sixth for a 4-2 lead.

Sanford got one run back in the sixth before tying the game in the seventh.

SOUTH PORTLAND 9, PORTLAND 6: Abby Young’s two-run triple helped spark a five-run seventh inning as the Red Riots (9-4) broke a tie and beat the Bulldogs (3-10) at Portland.

Laurine German, Paige Carter and Miranda Gleason had two hits apiece for the Riots, who trailed 4-3 before tying it in the sixth.

Taylor Crosby drove in a pair of runs for the Bulldogs, and Sydney Gilbert had two hits, scored two runs and drove in one.

Portland also got three hits each from Morgan Boyle and Molly Rickett.

THORNTON ACADEMY 12, CHEVERUS 5: Louisa Colucci homered for Thornton Academy (11-2) against the Stags (1-11) at Portland.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5, KENNEBUNK 0: Alie Martell finished with seven strikeouts and one walk in a three-hitter to lead the Patriots (9-5) past the Rams (4-10) at Gray.

Kaelyn Woods gave the Patriots the lead with a two-run homer to center with two outs in the first inning.

Maria Valente and Cara Waltz added RBI singles in the sixth for the Patriots, and Sara Carder hit a pair of singles.

CAPE ELIZABETH 18, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7: Hannah Bosworh and Lyndsay Stewart combined for eight goals for the Capers (5-3), who pulled away in the second half and beat the Raiders (5-6) at Fryeburg.

Cape Elizabeth outscored Fryeburg 13-2 after a 5-5 halftime tie. Ally Fraize scored four goals and McKenna Gerchman added two for the Raiders.

Kate Bosworth stopped 12 shots for the Capers. Harmony Legault had eight saves for Fryeburg.

MT. ARARAT 15, OXFORD HILLS 5: Rebecca Schuman scored four goals as the Eagles (9-1) handled the Vikings (2-7) at South Paris.

MORSE 9, GARDINER 7: Amanda Gagne had three goals and an assist, and Sophie Sreden added three goals for Morse (6-3) against the Tigers (3-6) at Gardiner.

PORTLAND 9, WINDHAM 6: Merritt Ryan scored six goals as the Bulldogs (4-4) downed Windham (5-4) at Portland.

Ella Coose scored twice and Liz Victor made 18 saves for Portland. Luisa Sbardella and Jenna Soucy each scored twice for Windham.
