Bangor Savings Bank is one of the region’s most popular banks among consumers, based on a recent survey by market research firm J.D. Power and Associates, the bank said Friday.

Bangor Savings Bank received the highest numerical score among 12 qualifying retail banks in the New England region in the proprietary J.D. Power 2015 Retail Banking Satisfaction Study, it said. The survey collected 82,030 responses from consumers regarding their primary bank. The results are based on experiences and perceptions of consumers surveyed from April 2014 through February 2015.

The survey asked bank customers around the country for feedback on various aspects of their banking experience, including account information, quality of personal interactions, facilities, product offerings and fees.

Bangor Savings Bank achieved a satisfaction score of 844 out of a possible 1,000 points, outperforming all other qualifying banks in New England, the bank said, adding that it scored well across all categories, including product offerings and fees.
