SOUTH HIRAM — Kyle Jordan had three hits and scored twice Wednesday to lead Sacopee Valley to an 8-1 victory against Old Orchard Beach in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

The Hawks (12-1) stretched a 2-0 lead to 7-0 with a five-run third inning. Jordan had an RBI single, Mike Pingree added a two-run single and Brady Anderson capped the inning with a two-run triple against the Seagulls (6-8).

GREELY 8, YORK 6: The Rangers (11-3) scored three unearned runs in the first inning, added four in the third and held off the Wildcats (11-3) at York.

The runs in the first came home on a fielding error and a throwing error.

Charlie Reade hit a two-run double in the fourth for Greely.

York scored four in the fifth, two on a single by Jordan Pidgeon.

Sam Johnson hit a solo homer in the seventh, and the Wildcats had runners on first and second with one out before Greely turned a double play to end it.

Miles Shields, Zakary Novak, Austin Nowinski and Reade each had two hits, and Will Bryant struck out 10 for Greely.

Cole Merritt had two hits for York.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 15, LINCOLN ACADEMY 5: Adam Wilcox ended the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning as Medomak Valley (5-8) beat Lincoln Academy (6-7) at Waldoboro.

The Panthers scored eight runs in the first inning. Ollie Brown drove in three on a pair of singles and Patrick Madden hit a two-run double, then added a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

OCEANSIDE 9, MORSE 6: Walker Ranney hit an RBI single and Mazlin Higbee followed with a two-run double as the Mariners (12-2) scored four runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-3 lead and defeat the Shipbuilders (6-8) at Rockland.

Nick Mazurek hit a solo homer in the first for Oceanside, which had every starter collect at least one hit.

Zach Holbrook had a pair of singles for Morse.

WELLS 11, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Charlie Bell hit three doubles and scored three runs, and Dan Quint had three hits and two RBI as the Warriors (9-5) handled the Rangers (8-6) at Kittery.

Tim Barnard hit a two-run single in the three-run first inning, Cameron Cousins and Quint hit RBI singles in the four-run fifth, and Quint added a run-scoring single in the seventh as Wells closed with two runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Cody Cousins and Michael Wrigley had two hits for Wells. Cody Cousins struck out five in six innings for the win.

MESSALONSKEE 11, MT. ARARAT 1: Messalonskee (13-2) scored six runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth to down Mt. Ararat (1-14) in six innings at Oakland.

Colby Dexter drove in a pair of runs for Messalonskee. Zach Mathieu and Kyle LaFreniere each singled and doubled, and Sam Bell hit two singles.

Nate Leslie had two hits for Mt. Ararat.

WAYNFLETE 6, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 4: Thomas Silk had a home run with four RBI and threw a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead the Flyers (4-12) over the Panthers (4-11) at Portland.

MARANACOOK 7, LEAVITT 1: Cam Brochu had a single and a double to lead the Black Bears (8-6), who broke open a close game with three runs in the fourth inning to defeat Leavitt (5-9) at Turner.

FALMOUTH 17, GREELY 4: Bryce Kuhn scored four goals for Falmouth (7-3) against Greely (6-4) at Cumberland.

Henry Norris and George Gilbert added three goals each, and Devin Russell, C.J. Leighton, and Jack Scribner all scored two for the Yachtsmen.

SOUTH PORTLAND 25, MASSABESIC 4: Jack Tierney had five goals and two assists to lead the Red Riots (10-1) over Massabesic (0-10) at South Portland.

Andrew Whipple added three goals and five assists, and Chris Mitchell had one goal and four assists.

WAYNFLETE 18, WELLS 10: Ford Malter finished with seven goals and two assists, and Harry Baker-Connick added four goals and one assist to lead the Flyers (7-3) over the Warriors (2-7) at Portland.

Willy Burdick had two goals and three assists for Waynflete.

Ryan Marsh led Wells with three goals and an assist, Evan Whitten added three goals and Noah Pease finished with two.

WINDHAM 16, DEERING 11: Griffin Jacobson scored nine goals as the Eagles (7-3) beat the Rams (3-7) at Portland.

Andrew Johnson led Deering with seven goals and an assist, and Max Hornblower added a goal and four assists.

BRUNSWICK 17, MESSALONSKEE 13: Cameron Glover had seven goals and Mitchell Smith made 13 saves as the Dragons (11-0) defeated the Eagles (6-4) at Brunswick.

Ryan Croatti added four goals and three assists for the Dragons, who outscored the Eagles 7-3 in the fourth quarter.

SCARBOROUGH 8, GORHAM 3: Scarborough (7-3) shut out the Rams (8-2) 4-0 in the second half at Gorham.

Braeden Kane led the Red Storm with four goals and Marco Manfra added two. Mike Soucy scored twice for Gorham.
