GRAY — Gray-New Gloucester scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday, walking off with a 10-9 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

Tyler St. Pierre went 4 for 4 with three doubles and two RBI for the Patriots (7-8).

Gray-New Gloucester trailed 9-7 going into the bottom of the seventh before Tanner Mann hit a game-tying two-run double that scored Zach Mann and Daulton Corthell.

Later in the inning, Evan Plummer scored the winning run for Gray-New Gloucester on a passed ball.

Tanner Mann and Evan Harmer finished with two hits apiece for the Patriots.

Fryeburg Academy (2-13) got two hits each from Conor Smith, Matt Fuller, Trevor Herschel, Hunter Day and Nicholis L’Heureux-Carland.

SOFTBALL

SCARBOROUGH 13, WESTBROOK 0: Kaleigh Scoville hit a grand slam in the first inning and the Red Storm (14-0) went on to down the Blue Blazes (4-10) in five innings at Scarborough.

Abbie Murrell and Chloe Griffin added two RBI apiece for the Red Storm, and Griffin also had one strikeout and one walk while pitching a two-hitter.

Murrell, Ashley Gleason, Brittany Plowman and Chloe Gorey each had two hits for Scarborough.

MADISON 6, OAK HILL 5: Madeline Wood went 3 for 3 with a triple and also was the winning pitcher as the Bulldogs (14-1) slipped past Oak Hill (8-7) at Wales.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

SANFORD 19, DEERING 8: Brenna Lambert, Monica Trausch and Maddie Leigh each scored five goals for the Spartans (6-5) against the Rams (2-8) at Sanford.

Leigh also had one assist, and Liz Helmreich finished with one goal and two assists for the Spartans.

Emily Krabbe scored three goals for Deering.
