CAPE ELIZABETH — Nicky Penley lined an RBI double and Tess Haller followed with a run-scoring single as Cape Elizabeth used a three-run sixth inning to beat Wells 7-6 in a Western Maine Conference softball game Friday.

Anna Torre hit a two-run single in the first inning for Cape Elizabeth (8-7), which led 4-1 before Wells scored four runs in the fourth.

Haller went 3 for 4 with two RBI, while Ashley Tinsman added a pair of hits.

Samantha Bogue and Aliah Clay each had a pair of singles for Wells (4-11).

YORK 9, LAKE REGION 0: Stephanie Rundlett had her no-hit bid broken up by an Allison Morse two-out single in the seventh inning as the Wildcats (14-1) shut out the Lakers (6-10) at York.

Hannah Brown lined a three-run triple and scored on Kendall Carr’s single as York scored six runs in the fourth inning to open a 7-0 lead.

Brown had a pair of triples and four RBI. Carr also hit a triple, and Rundlett finished with 15 strikeouts.

GREELY 5, KENNEBUNK 2: Sarah Felkel had three singles and winning pitcher Kelsey Currier allowed only one hit as the Rangers (12-3) beat the Rams (4-11) at Cumberland.

Meg Dube belted a home run for Kennebunk.

NOBLE 11, WINDHAM 5: Kayla Lessard’s three-run double in the fifth inning helped the Knights (9-6) pull away from the Eagles (9-6) in Windham.

Lessard’s hit made it 7-2, and the Knights added four runs in the sixth before Maddie Elliott launched a three-run homer for Windham in the bottom of the seventh.

SOUTH PORTLAND 6, GORHAM 3: Abby Young scored three times and Paige Carter drove home a pair of runs to lead the Red Riots (10-5) past the Rams (7-9) in South Portland.

Young, Carter and Sarah Micucci each had two singles for South Portland.

Carli Labrecque rapped a pair of doubles for Gorham.

SANFORD 13, CHEVERUS 1: Jordan Wilson drove in four runs and Jen Jones threw a three-hitter for the Spartans (12-2) in a win over the Stags (1-14) at Portland.

Nicole Main and Lauren Thompson each had four hits, and Morgan Coleman homered and finished with three RBI. Jones also drove in three runs.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, WESTBROOK 2: Bailey Tremblay took a shutout into the seventh inning and finished with a four-hitter and nine strikeouts as the Trojans (13-2) beat the Blue Blazes (4-11) in Westbrook.

Kaya O’Connor rapped two doubles and drove in two runs for Thornton.

MASSABESIC 12, MARSHWOOD 0: Kyra-Mei Cartwright was 4 for 4 as the Mustangs (5-10) shut out the Knights (6-9) in five innings at South Berwick.

Sarah Guimond got the win, surrendering just a pair of singles while striking out three and walking five.

MCAULEY 11, DEERING 2: Lillie Donovan’s two-run homer during a four-run third inning helped McAuley (7-9) take control against the host Rams (2-13).

Allison Tillotson added a three-run homer in the fourth.

Cassidy Coyne had three hits for Deering, including a double and a triple.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 9, MT. VIEW 2: Danielle Pinkham drove in two runs and Abby Farrin struck out 11 in six innings as the Eagles (14-1) beat the Mustangs (5-10) at Thorndike.

Reanna Boulay doubled twice and scored both runs for Mt. View.

LACROSSE

CAPE ELIZABETH 10, YARMOUTH 8: Mariah Deschino scored three goals and the Capers (7-3) held off the Clippers (6-4) in Yarmouth.

Lindsay Stewart and Kirsten Rudberg each contributed a pair of goals for Cape Elizabeth.

Shannon Fallon tallied four goals for Yarmouth. Emma Torres scored twice.

GORHAM 15, CHEVERUS 10: Aliza Jordan notched four goals for the Rams (7-4) in a win over the Stags (3-7) in Portland.

Marina Pappalardo, Mackenzie Collins and Reagan Emerson added three goals apiece.

Anne Veroneau led Cheverus with three goals. Abby Biegel, Nicole Pineau and Allie Scott each scored twice.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, WINDHAM 6: Maddie Hasson and Aimee LaPlante scored three goals apiece, and Hasson also collected two assists to lead the Red Riots (7-3) past the Eagles (5-5) at South Portland.

Abby Letourneau added two goals and an assist, and Paige Fleming and Mary Cronin also scored for South Portland, which led 5-1 at halftime.

Windham was led by Mya Mannette with three goals. The Eagles also got goals from Holly Spencer, Hannah Skvorak and Luisa Sbardella.

Lily SanGiovanni made 14 saves for the Riots. Windham’s Erin Mallory stopped 13 shots.

WAYNFLETE 7, YORK 6: Haley Johnson scored four goals for the Flyers (7-4) as they edged the Wildcats (7-3) at Portland.

Isabel Canning finished with four assists for Waynflete, which never trailed.

York was led by Mackenzie Mallett with two goals.

FREEPORT 15, GOULD ACADEMY 8: Emily Johnson and Taylor Rinaldi each had four goals and an assist to lead the Falcons (6-4) to a victory over the Huskies (6-6) in Bethel.

Lizzie Martin and Lily Johnston added two goals each.

Julia Getman recorded three goals and an assist for Gould.
