Brunswick writer Paul Betit will talk about his historical crime novel “The Man in the Canal,” the latest in a series of books featuring U.S. Army CID investigator John Murphy. Betit will share backstories, discuss his creative process and read excerpts from current writing projects. Signed copies of all his books will be available for purchase. Betit also will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Mustard Seed Bookstore, 74 Front St., Bath.
